For Attorney Danielle M. Guerrero, the pursuit of justice is not just a profession—it is a calling rooted in her name and her history. A native South Floridian born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Mrs. Guerrero has dedicated her career to protecting the rights of her community with integrity, grit, and relentless advocacy.
A Foundation of Service & Advocacy Mrs. Guerrero’s journey began at Miami Dade College, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, laying the groundwork for her understanding of the legal system. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University College of Law.
During law school, Mrs. Guerrero distinguished herself as a leader among her peers. She served as Vice President of Communications for the Nationally ranked St. Thomas Trial Team, President of the Cuban American Student Bar Association, and President of the Lambda Legal Society. She was also an editing member on the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, an honor society at St. Thomas College of Law. Mrs. Guerrero also earned the St. Thomas Pro-Bono Award for exceeding in Pro-bono hours as well as Donor- and Merit-based scholarships. These roles honed her ability to communicate effectively and advocate for diverse groups—skills she brings to every client she represents today.
Battle-Tested Experience Before establishing Guerrero Law, Mrs. Guerrero served as an Assistant Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County. In this high-volume, high-pressure environment, she handled thousands of cases, gaining invaluable courtroom experience. While a public defender, Mrs. Guerrero went to trial on several cases, fighting for her client’s rights. Mrs. Guerrero also joined the Board of the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (BACDL). This tenure taught her that every case matters and every client deserves a rigorous defense.
Mentoring the Next Generation Mrs. Guerrero believes that a strong legal community protects everyone. She continues to give back to her alma mater by serving as a Mentor and Coach for the Nationally Ranked St. Thomas University College of Law Trial Team. In this role, she helps shape the advocates of the future, teaching them the litigation skills necessary to excel in the courtroom.
